A worthy cause

It's been a brutal week at work.  BRUTAL!  I have not posted or really been able to get the energy to read many posts.  But the work week is over, and I'm jumping back in!

I'd been out of the blogging game for a long time until recently.  So I missed out on what seems like one of the best yearly events in the hobby.  It's Collecting Cutch's Save Second Base month long Breast Cancer Awareness drive.

He is a generous fellow, donating to the cause based on comments on his blog.  So get over there and read, comment and participate!

My current contribution to the pink card craze is this beauty:

It is a 2001 Upper Deck Decade 1970's Disco Era Dandies.  Man, this card is gaudy!  I'd love any other players from this set anyone is willing to give up!!

And just for fun, even pinker!

  1. I wasn't collecting cards in 2001 so I had no idea this set existed. I looked up the checklist and had to add the Stargell to my PC. Thank you for the support to raise awareness and for introducing me to this set. Good luck tracking the others down. The Schmidt might be the coolest one in the set.

  3. 2001 UD Decade 70's was a great product. I have the base set. After seeing this insert, I'm thinking maybe I need to build the insert sets too.
