BFG - End of the road

Well, we have come to the end of the BFG auction.  Thanks to all who participated!!

It was a weird ride and I learned a lot. I know things that I would change if I do the same thing next time.  I would appreciate any feedback on things you think I could do to make it a better experience too!   I will definitely be doing more giveaways in the future.

I will be getting packages in the mail soon!! (even something to anyone who didn't win anything) I believe I have all the trades figured out for what goes in who's package.  If you have any other changes you want made, let me know via email or in the comments before tomorrow afternoon.

Thanks all!!!!

  1. That was awesome! Thank you so much for this BFG. The cards were cool... but the game was even cooler. Very creative and entertaining. Looked forward to it every day.

  4. This was a lot of fun, great job! I kind of feel like my strategy of hanging back and letting the game play out for a while worked - but at the same time i missed out on a lot of the excitement.

  8. What were the last few things we didn’t unlock? Just curious

It was a lot of fun and you gave me an inspiration to try this with ways to earn $ and a way to do the prizes. I am still working out all of the kinks but more to come on that.

You did an amazing job and I had a lot of fun. Even being sniped lol.

    1. Good question, the 3 that weren't uncovered were:
      1. Screw up a bid (lower bid than current, bid more than you have, or similar)
      2. Mention the Expos, Senators, Browns Colt 45's or Pilots (or another defunct team) in a comment
      3. Catch me in a screwup

    2. Oh man, I almost unlocked #1! I bid $20DK on an item and the Angels In Order bid $25 seconds before my comment posted. So rather than leaving the comment I deleted it. Guess I should have left my mistake out there for all to see, hah.

  9. Given my recent collecting habits, I probably wasn't the best person to be participating in a game like this, but it was still fun to follow along and see what piqued everyone else's interest, so thanks for letting me in, even if I didn't add too much to the overall game.

  10. Thanks!

I got something that I wanted, that's the way I judge whether a contest was successful. Nice going!
